Please let it snow!!! (says Nat)

Nat wants it to snow so bad!! She didn't think Christmas should have come and gone because it hadn't snowed yet. So this morning when she talked to Shannon and found out it was snowing, she put on all the gear and went out to play. The most snow she could see was on the pond but I quickly told her that was out of the question. I got three quick pictures and they played about 3 minutes and were back in ready for breakfast. That's my kind of playing in the snow...

Christmas 2009

This year Christmas has been so enjoyable for me. I have enjoyed many things over the past month. Mostly I have enjoyed the kids being out of school. We have had several mornings where we stayed in bed late. (Which hasn't happened since Nat was born.) I got my decorations up before Thanksgiving this year and I was more than ready to take them down-which we did the day after Christmas.
We sponsored a family through "Family Services" and got the kids involved with picking out gifts and trying to understand what and why we were doing it. I really think they got it.
We had an extra long visit with Mam-maw this year. She was here several days. She watch me and the kids put a gingerbread house together.(First one ever).
We had a lot of "family time" with just the 4 of us too. Brandon didn't hunt a few days and he stayed home with use. We watched TV, wrestled, played boardgames, went ice skating, went to the movies, had homemade biscuit's and apple butter, and listened to Bing Crosby's Christmas CD. We bought a new car and picked out new furniture. ( still trying to sell the old car:( The kids were in the Christmas play at church too. Nat had a solo and Reese stayed up there the whole time and did all the motions. I was so proud of them both. I was thinking the other day that all because Jesus was born...I got to experience such joy over the last few weeks. Although, I have to admit sometimes it is very hard to keep your focus on Jesus. Especially when your kids are sooo excited about Santa. We would have " Jesus checks" from time to time. "Now, why are we celebrating Christmas?" They always got it right. Reese said we should buy Jesus a present to make him feel better for those mean men killing him. I think he's got it...

Reese's Thanksgiving Program

Poppy and I made it to Reese's Thanksgiving Program. It was adorable. I had to rush back to work right after the singing. Thank goodness for grandparents!! Poppy stayed and ate lunch with him.

Reese as Woody

MM bought Reese the Woody costume for his birthday. We had to bribe him every time to put it on, but I think he ended up putting it on 5-6 times before it was over. He was a good sport!! Cutest "Woody" I have ever seen.
