This year Christmas has been so enjoyable for me. I have enjoyed many things over the past month. Mostly I have enjoyed the kids being out of school. We have had several mornings where we stayed in bed late. (Which hasn't happened since Nat was born.) I got my decorations up before Thanksgiving this year and I was more than ready to take them down-which we did the day after Christmas.

We
sponsored a family through "Family Services" and got the kids involved with picking out gifts and trying to understand what and why we were doing it. I really think they got it.

We had an extra long visit with Mam-maw this year. She was here several days. She watch me and the kids put a gingerbread house together.(First one ever).

We had a lot of "family time" with just the 4 of us too. Brandon didn't hunt a few days and he stayed home with use. We watched
TV, wrestled, played boardgames, went
ice skating, went to the movies, had homemade
biscuit's and
apple butter, and listened to Bing Crosby's Christmas CD. We bought a new car and picked out new furniture. ( still trying to sell the old car:( The kids were in the Christmas play at church too. Nat had a solo and Reese stayed up there the whole time and did all the motions. I was so proud of them both. I was thinking the other day that all because Jesus was born...I got to experience such joy over the last few weeks. Although, I have to admit sometimes it is very hard to keep your focus on Jesus.
Especially when your kids are
sooo excited about Santa. We would have " Jesus checks" from time to time. "Now, why are we celebrating Christmas?" They always got it right. Reese said we should buy Jesus a present to make him feel better for those mean men killing him. I think he's got it...
