Reese these days...

Happy days! He is such a joy and cutie!! He would make me say handsome.
First t-ball photos. It's not going to be hard to get cute pictures of this kid!!

Mother's Day Tea at Preschool. Mommy barely made it but was well worth the effort when I saw the look on his face when he spotted me. I love this child!!

Nat's 7th Birthday!

Oh, how the time flies! She is 7 years old and I can not believe it. She is growing so fast and having so much fun. She is still the sweet little girl I have always had with a few more words to describe her now...
Determined, funny, sensitive, intuitive, compassionate, strong willed and most of all still very cuddly!!

What a weekend!!

Well, Mother's Day weekend...Most exciting. It all started, I would say, around 8:30 Friday morning. Reese tells me he is not going to school. He says that a lot so I just say back to him, "oh, yes you are." He says no I am not! And so that continues for a while. Then he tells me he is not going to brush his teeth because it will make his tummy sick. And he was tired of standing. OK at that point it occurred to me to see what was going on. He had a temp of 101 and he was sick!! We left home that day only to fill an antibiotic. By 3-4pm his temp was 103.8.
Next, Brandon came home from work and said his back was hurting. He had pulled it while moving some tables. He does this about once a year so I knew to expect him to have trouble for a couple days. Well at least he had rented us a movie before he came home!! So we watched the movie and rubbed on his back. Reese was doing fairly well.
Sat. am Nat and I went for our hair appt. We were gone a couple hours then home for a second and then off to a b-day party of one of Nat's classmates. We were getting ready to leave and Reese said, "where are you going?" I told him we were going to a party and we would be right back. And that he needed to stay with daddy since he'd been running a temp. He said, "I want to go. Don't leave me here with daddy." Well , I thought to myself that maybe staying home with daddy while he is flat on his back for another couple hours didn't exactly sound fair so I took him with us. We had plans that evening but had to cancel and we stayed home AGAIN. Very unusual for us.

I made up my mind Sat. night that I just didn't feel that we were going to make it to church on Sunday. Don't guess we have ever missed church on Mother's Day. But, we didn't go. We slept in and we all got up and got dressed and headed to MM and PP's for a rib dinner. It was great and we got to visit with AJ too. Syd came home with us. BB hadn't exactly gotten me anything for Mother's Day, so we headed to Walmart for cookies and Lowe's for Spring plants. Perfect!! I told him (not trying to be cheesy) that Mother's Day is one day of the year he absolutely doesn't have to worry whether or not I will be happy. No matter if he ever got me anything at all, I am happy just to have gotten the chance to be a mother. And I totally mean that!! And then...about 3pm, Nat gets sick. She starts with a fever and missed school today. I can't get her fever below 101 with Motrin and Tylenol but soon the antibiotics should kick in and should be fine. Brandon left last night for Louisville for some police training. So for Mother's Day...something a little different. But, right now I am getting a BIG dose of being a mother!! Yes , it is very hard at times(like trying to make Nat take her medicine), but I LOVE it and wouldn't trade it for anything in this whole world. Happy Mother's Day to ME!!!!!!!!!!

Trip to see Michael

We went this past weekend to see the Coomes'. We had a great time. We went downtown to Thunder over Louisville and watched all of the planes and fireworks. We still can't believe how much they look alike. This time we took Hudson and I think he really enjoyed it!! Michelle kept telling me how funny Hudson was.

First trip to Bossier, Louisiana

We went with Nannie and Poppie to Chad and Nikki's in Bossier, Louisiana. They have a beautiful home and Chad loves his job. We ate at a new restaurant, went to an arena football game and more egg hunting. It was a great weekend.
Oh yes, we did do a little shopping!!!
